1. Brick joint treatment: The joints can be filled or not filled. If the joints are filled, the joint filling material must be completely dry before the joint sealant can be applied. The joint depth should be at least about 3mm.
2. Cleaning treatment: Before using the caulking agent, you should first vacuum up the dust in the gaps between the tiles with a vacuum cleaner. Wipe both sides of the tile joints with a towel to remove dust, oil stains and other pollutants. At the same time, use a cleaning shovel to remove pollutants on the surface of the tiles. .
3. Apply textured paper: If the tiles are antique tiles or pitted tiles, textured paper must be applied before the joints are made. Glazed tiles with smooth surfaces do not need to be applied.
When applying textured paper, the surface and gaps of the ceramic tiles should be kept clean and dry. Masking paper should be pasted on both sides of the gap. In order to ensure the effect of the intersection, it is recommended to separate the construction of horizontal and vertical lines for 24 hours. Both sides of the textured paper should be cut neatly without burrs, the width should be no less than 2cm, and the adhesive force should be good but no glue residue should be left.
4. Install and caulk: Select the desired color of caulking agent, install the special mixing tube, put on the special high-quality labor-saving glue gun, squeeze and remove 30g of the front end, and mix it thoroughly and evenly. When making joints, keep the mixing tube as perpendicular to the tile surface as possible so that the joint agent can fill the gap. Move forward evenly and control the intensity and frequency so that the joint agent can flow out evenly. The suitable temperature is 5-38 degrees.
5. Seam pressure and seam scraping: If you want the surface to have a moderate arc surface after the sealant is cured, you can use a special seam pressure steel ball to pull it from one end along the brick seam to the other end, and keep the force even.
If you want the caulking agent to be as level as possible with the tile surface after curing, you can use a caulking scraper or a soft rubber board to pull it along the brick seam from one end to the other end, keeping the force even and not deviating from the aesthetic pattern. paper to prevent contamination of the tile surface.
6. Cleaning and finishing: If the textured paper process is used, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, tear off the textured paper, remove the surrounding seam sealant, and wipe away any remaining stains. If the process of not applying textured paper is adopted, wait until about 3 hours after the jointing, and use a cleaning shovel to clean the semi-cured jointing agent on the surface of the tiles.
7. Finished product protection: normal temperature below 25 degrees, 3 hours surface drying, 24 hours use intensity, 7 days natural curing. Within 24 hours after sewing, avoid being exposed to pollution, rain, water, and walking on the ground.
