Recently, Ms. Peng from Zhengzhou City disclosed publicly on the Internet that she was in the ceramic tile business. On September 26, she sent 110 ceramic tiles to Zhengzhou through a logistics company in Guangzhou. After the goods arrived in Zhengzhou, she found 79 A large brick was damaged.
Ms. Peng said that because it happened to coincide with the National Day holiday, during which the customer did not have any construction work, the tiles were not unpacked. After the holiday, the customer started construction and unpacking and found that a large number of tiles were damaged and could not be used at all.
79 of the 110 bricks were rotten during transportation
Logistics companies insist on "not taking the blame"
After discovering that the tiles were damaged, Ms. Peng immediately contacted the logistics company responsible for transportation in Zhengzhou and checked their loading and unloading videos. The video showed that the logistics company's loading time and process were relatively standardized, and the workers were all uniform. The tiles were loaded into the truck box by box, but the unloading workers were a little rude after arriving in Zhengzhou. Under normal circumstances, the workers should use forklifts or pallets to drag the goods directly to the receiving truck, but the video shows that the goods were transported along the truck. If it slides down, the tiles may be damaged during the sliding process.
After communication, the logistics company insisted not to take responsibility and claimed:
Ms. Peng had already brought the goods back for more than ten days before she reported that there was a problem. She didn’t know which link had the problem. For humanitarian reasons, Ms. Peng was compensated 800 yuan. If a reissue was needed, we could help transport it to Zhengzhou for free. As for the problem with unloading that Ms. Peng said, the vehicle staff who received the goods from Ms. Peng were also at the unloading site at the time, but they did not raise the issue of improper unloading or damaged outer packaging.
Ms. Peng found it difficult to accept the response from the logistics company. The total loss caused by the broken tiles was 6,700 yuan. The gap was too big. Ms. Peng was still waiting for a corresponding reply and asked for further solution to the problem.
The truck driver pulled 580 boxes of bricks
More than 300 boxes were rotten
There are countless disputes involving similar ceramic tiles caused by damage during the logistics process. Sometimes even the truck driver doesn't know why such serious damage occurs.
Previously, Master Zhang, a truck driver in Huzhou, encountered such a problem. After delivering a large truck of floor tiles to the recipient, half of them were broken.
According to Master Zhang's description, he transported a total of 580 boxes of floor tiles from Guangzhou to Huzhou. However, after delivery, the other party unloaded and took a look and found that more than 300 boxes were damaged and only 200 boxes were good. Master Zhang took a look He was dumbfounded and the other party wouldn't let him go..
“These broken floor tiles have some damage on the edges and are not completely broken, and the damaged areas can be broken into pieces with your hands.” Master Zhang said that he has been transporting goods in a sports car for many years, and the tiles I've tried it many times and never had such a problem. I can't tell whether it's the quality of the floor tiles or a loading and unloading problem.
In this regard, after the sales manager of the ceramic tile manufacturer learned about the situation, he said he would rush over to solve the problem, but he still did not come over. Master Zhang was very anxious. The order cost 9,000 yuan, and the varnish fee was 7,000 yuan, so he himself Earn 2000. However, the manufacturer said that the bottom of Master Zhang's car was uneven, and it rained that day, so the tiles were not covered with tarpaulin, so the cartons could not be protected when they got wet.
Since the specific responsible party could not be found, the matter has not been resolved. Master Zhang wanted to spend 10,000 yuan on his own, drive out to collect the goods first, and then calculate the compensation issue after dealing with the manufacturer, but the collection The seller disagreed. Later, after coordination, the other party agreed that Master Zhang would pay 12,000 yuan first, and then the deposit and freight would be paid to him after the manufacturer came to resolve the matter. At the same time, the manufacturer also stated that it would send someone over as soon as possible to check what the problem is and deal with it.
⏩ If the tiles are damaged during transportation, who will be responsible?
As we all know, ceramic tiles are fragile products, and the logistics, transportation and handling of ceramic tiles are an important part of product circulation. At this stage, the more common transportation methods used in the ceramic industry are land transportation, sea transportation or railway, and the transportation methods are also mainly based on Mainly forklifts and labor.
During the transportation process, improper forklift picking, improper handling, improper stacking, and packaging methods will cause damage to the tiles during transportation.
⏩ How to avoid tile breakage?
Avoid violent handling of ceramic tiles. When handling ceramic tiles, you should handle them with care. When placing ceramic tiles, they should also be placed parallel to the ground. It is prohibited to use a single-angle landing method to transport ceramic tiles.
The transportation and stacking of loose boxes of ceramic tiles must abide by the relevant principles, do not overweight the light, and the ceramic tiles cannot be stacked in parallel. The ceramic tiles should be stacked vertically. The ceramic tiles should not be stacked too high to avoid damage due to bumpy road conditions during transportation.
In terms of logistics options for transporting ceramic tiles, choose direct logistics as much as possible to avoid damage caused by more links in the turnover and handling.
To improve the packaging of ceramic tile products, the packaging should be all-inclusive, that is, the four corners should be completely packaged, and the four corners should be specially protected with thicker plastic materials. In terms of packaging material selection, try to use ones with better wear resistance. Paper material, or increase the thickness of the paper.
